The Dover Street Doctors
All the doctors were Consultants with busy NHS practices based at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital and the goal was to offer patients and GPs a single point of contact for anyone wishing to seek quality Consultant advice on medical treatment or intervention without having to initially contact one of the local hospitals.
Initially based in a small office in Sturry, the group moved to 5 Dover Street in central Canterbury in 1990. Upon the retirement of the then administrator, Amanda Eason and Tansy Martin took over the administrative support, building up a team of dedicated staff.

Get in Touch
Due to a successful expansion programme we have now moved to new modern premises in Chestfield which will allow us to progress our service further.
Private practice, both self-funded and insurance-based, remains the core of our business, but an increasing number of patients now seek advice from us rather than in NHS clinics to discuss treatment plans that we maybe offer that are NHS funded.
Please contact Amanda and Tansy’s teams to discuss your requirement.
We look forward to being able to help and will always endeavour to exceed your expectations.

Bob Heddle's philosophy was to bring together the administrative support for a group of like-minded, high quality, independent doctors and particularly surgeons, who had private practices based around Canterbury.
